Before I introduce myself I feel like it’s best to start off by telling you why we are called Evergreenmoon..
In nature the word “evergreen” is given to trees that remain “green forever”
Evergreenmoon was created to bring the beauty of the natural world to life through our creations so they are forever remembered.
Our creations are infused with love and will always be inspired by who we are and what’s all around us, the universe.
Hi, I’m Shona, and for as long as I can remember I have felt deeply connected to the world around us.
The stars, the moon, the natural world..we are all connected to it.
There isn’t a cold night sky I don’t look up in awe at the stars and think to myself isn’t it crazy that we are so small in such an unimaginable universe filled with unexplored worlds, planets, galaxies and life.
As a fellow human being living on the giant floating rock we call earth in the middle of space, I sometimes look up and feel insignificant. Like a small star in the middle of an unknown vast galaxy. As maybe many of you do too.
I want my art to be remembered, I strive to make an impact on peoples lives during my lifetime on this beautiful earth.
I have a strong empathy for all life but animals are the beings I would gladly dedicate my life to helping, you will likely see lots of animals in my creations because of how much they inspire me.
I currently have 3 cats called Lady, Bilbo and Caesar, I am also in the middle of convincing my partner that we "need" a dog :)
As well as cats we have 12 sheep, yes thats correct i said 12!
We initally only wanted 6 but when we got them it turned out they were all pregnant and had baby lambs.
We rescued them from where they only knew sadness, they were on farms their whole lives, very scared of people and were only seen as stock, not pets.
We changed that, they all come up to us for daily head scratches and for the first time in their lives have finally been able to keep and grow up with their babies forever.
Just shows how an animal can change when they know they are safe.
Before I started this business, I had a couple of other career options in mind.
The first was a vet but I dont have the heart to charge people money for caring about their furry family.
The second was a zoologist as I have always wanted to study animals and form bonds with them but to be honest with you, the idea of having to study in college for years is something I have never been willing to do.
I struggle with the idea of spending years of my life being taught things by other people all to then work for someone else.
When I lived in France, I was studying French literature. I felt like I chose the studying route because that’s what those around me did and I never questioned it.
I now realise why I detested my studies so much..because my true path all along was Art.
I left school on a whim, I just got up out of class one day and never looked back.
I then had the idea to use my artistic talents to create a business and it turned into making jewelry then I started sharing my art to people and they loved it.
At 17 years old I had already founded a business successful enough to support myself. I felt like I was finally able to show my talents that were being hidden for so long.
I moved from France to New Zealand in early 2023. I feel so connected to nature here.
Art surrounds my life , my whole home is full of it. I collect thrifted pieces that stand out to me as well as use my own.
I love my home to stand out and feel not only unique but like a creative space that can always inspire me.
Myself and my partner like most people have a dream, ours is to travel the world whilst volunteering and donating as much as we can to animal rescue organisations.
We would love to bring you all along with us, make a difference to animals lives and share our unique creations to the world.
Every order is another step to making that dream a reality.

Shocking facts that need to change:

- Around 30,000 species are driven to extinction every year.
We want to help change these facts.
We have both been surrounded by animals our whole lives. They will always be there for you and no matter what you do to them their love is unconditional.
We want to create a better future for all the animals that need our help. Not enough people realise how much pain and suffering they endure daily and how much worse it will get in the future unless something changes.
We always try to donate as much as we can to animal and environmental protection organisations or to help raise money for animals in need.
